The Salvation Army in Glens Falls is finding its way during the coronavirus pandemic, delivering food and other essential items to people in Warren, Washington counties and northern Saratoga County.

“We’ve had to close everything but essential services at this time,” said Leo Lloyd, Captain and Commanding Officer. “The most essential service is getting food and care items to shut-ins.”

The small team is working with the local food bank and grocery stores to keep a stock of non-perishables and personal care items.

“We had 87 unfulfilled requests just since Saturday afternoon,” said Lloyd. “We’re doing in a day what we normally would do in a month.”

People who are in quarantine or cannot get to the store are encouraged to contact the Salvation Army at 518-792-1960
