Democratic voters in New York are giving the thumbs up to Joe Biden's bid for the Democratic nomination. But as pollster Steve Greenberg notes, with months to go before the April 28 primary, a lot can change.

"Twenty four percent for Biden, 14 percent for Warren, so he has a 10-point lead. But we still have more than a quarter of Democrats who are undecided at this point," Greenberg said.

The poll found Biden drawing support over both Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, who are in a virtual tie. The poll found the remaining Democratic field is in single digits.

"It's more than name recognition; they know Joe Biden, this is his third time running for president. He's been a fixture on the national scene for decades," Greenberg said.

Meanwhile, the poll showed a drop in support for impeaching and removing President Donald Trump. The poll found voters not enrolled in a party oppose impeaching and removing Trump from office, 59 to 37 percent.

"Keep in mind this poll was started as the public impeachment hearings were started. They were going on last week, they're still going on this week. So we'll see over time whether that moves people," Greenberg said.

And the poll found Governor Cuomo's favorability rating has dropped in the last month, with 44 percent of voters holding a favorable view of him and 49 percent who do not.

"He has now been governor for nine years. How voters feel about him is pretty locked in so it's really going to take something dramatic to move his numbers in a big way," Greenberg said.

The poll also comes as the governor in the coming weeks will release his State of the State agenda for the new year.
