Two men are facing second-degree murder and concealment charges after state police confirm a body found in Malta is that of missing woman Allyzibeth Lamont.

She was last seen Monday around 8 p.m., kicking off a multi-agency search that involved state and local police and the district attorney’s office.

Lamont’s body was found Thursday afternoon in Saratoga County. State police later confirmed that Lamont's death was caused by "multiple blunt force trauma to the head."

State police have arrested James Duffy, 34, of Johnstown and Georgios Kakavelos, 51, of Ballston Spa in connection with her death.

A preliminary hearing for the pair will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, per state police.

According to a criminal complaint, the two men left Lamont's body near the Northway Exit 13 southbound ramp, covering her body with cement, stone blocks, dirt, and mud. Police were still on scene Friday afternoon.

Johnstown police put up police tape around the Local No. 9 sub shop on Thursday. That is located in the area Lamont was last seen.

State police say Lamont worked at the sub shop with Duffy and Kakavelos. Officials would not comment on any potential motive or cause of death.
