An Albany woman was killed in a car crash at the Northway and I-90 interchange in Albany.

According to New York State Police, officials responded to the crash Thursday afternoon. Spectrum News is told several cars were involved, including an SUV — which flipped onto its roof, off the side of the road.

State Police said Friday that Eniyah T. Simmons, 24, died as a result of injuries sustained from the crash.

Joshua A. Williams, 28, of Albany, remains in critical condition and Kevin Zapata, 34, of Albany, remains in serious condition at Albany Medical Center.

State Police spent several hours at the scene investigating — even using a drone to get a handle on the scene from above.

The ramp from the Northway South to I-90 East as well as the ramp from Western Ave and Crossgates to I-90 were shut down.
