As the inner workings of Alleged Capital region sex cult, NXIVM plays out in the courtroom, the founders and leaders of the organization deny all charges against them. The high ranking members plead not guilty to a superseding indictment Thursday that includes child pornography charges and accusations of sex trafficking.

Meanwhile, victims took to the stage to share their stories of being sucked into NXIVM by ring leader Keith Raniere

Barbara Bouchey, former girlfriend of Raniere, was involved with the group for almost a decade.

"He knew how to gauge you. He did boundary testing. What was your morality? Where were your ethics?" questions Bouchey.

She claims the cult was disguised a women’s self-empowerment program. However, she claims the work of NXIVM wasn't all bad.

"I wanted to help empower more people; I wanted to make a difference in the world. And Keith hit on that button and in fact we were making a difference," adds the former member.

Catherine Oxenburg has been very public about her daughter's involvement with the group. The actress has written a book claiming her daughter was brainwashed and branded.

"I told this woman that my daughter had undergone a [branding] procedure without anesthesia. She was in horror. That is incomprehensible pain. So Keith Rainere subjected these women as a form on torture," adds Oxenburg.

However, dominoes are beginning to fall as the first high ranking NXIVM official, Nancy Salzman, plead guilty in federal court last week.

Rainere is now facing child porn charges, alleged to have a relationship with a 15-year-old girl.  Bouchey says she witnessed the relationship.

"She wraps her arms around him and plants a big kiss on her lips and I got to tell you the hairs on my neck stood up," says Bouchey.

As the forum ended in Albany it immediately took a turn. A member from the audience yelled out, "She’s been kidnapped for three years with NXIVM."

A family pleading that NXIVM is still thriving. Kristy’s brothers claim her now 8-year-old daughter was taken back in 2015 by a man who works for NXIVM. She says there's nothing being done to free her child.

"One of their main things that they're trying to do is abduct and steal children for the use of child trafficking and to groom them to be slaves," says Brothers, "I'm not going to give up I have no idea where my child is."

The trial for Raniere and other NXIVM officials is expected to begin on April 29.  He's facing sex trafficking charges, as well as several other charges including racketeering and wire fraud.
