Green Tech Charter School is now accepting students for its new middle school program.
Starting this August, Green Tech plans to add 40 students each year until there are 120 students from 6th through 8th grade. The school is hiring more teachers to teach a STEM based curriculum with an added focus in the arts.
Green Tech Principal and CEO Dr. Paul Miller explained the expansion.
"I believe 84 percent of our students who came to us are reading and doing math between a 4th to 6th grade level, so we need to get them earlier to close gaps,” said Miller. “We need to provide them a middle school education differently."
Families have until April 1st to apply with the possibility of a wait list.
