With the winter storm making its presence known Tuesday, snow emergencies have been declared in some areas across the region.

Rotterdam and Amsterdam have snow emergencies in place for noon. Parking restrictions will be put in place while crews work to clear the streets. In East Greenbush, a snow emergency has been declared from noon until noon Wednesday. Parking on public roads is prohibited, and trash cans and basketball hoops must be at least four feet in from the edge of the pavement.

A snow emergency in Saratoga Springs is in effect from 9 a.m. Vehicles must be moved to a cleared area every 12 hours.

In Glens Falls, a snow emergency will start at 8 p.m. and continue until 7 a.m. Wednesday. On-street parking is prohibited and drivers are encouraged to stay off the roads.

In Schodack, on-street parking is prohibited until noon Wednesday.
