A Greene County sheriff's deputy is being hailed a hero after rescuing a woman's dog from freezing water.
The Greene County Sheriff's Office shared a post on Facebook Wednesday, where Margot Sheridan says Deputy Jeff Hoessle went out onto ice to save her dog Rolo.
Both the deputy and the dog are OK.
Deputy Hoessle just happens to be a K-9 officer.
His K-9 did not go out on the ice.
