The snow is here.

A massive storm dropped as much as 10 inches in parts of our area. In Albany reaching over to Colonie, some residents see as much as a foot of snow.

Brutally cold temperatures are expected to take cold later today. If you or someone you know has pre-existing health concerns, stay wary of traveling outside, or be sure to layer up.

Still, people around Albany so far aren't too discouraged by all the snowfall. One man Spectrum News talked to this morning says in light of disasters in other parts of the world, he's happy to be here in the Capital City.

“It’s just a light amount compared to some of the two foot and three foot storms we’ve actually gotten over the years,” said Michael Pitt. “I live up here in the Northeast because I love the white weather it’s fun to ski, it’s fun to snow and if we have to shovel a little bit of white stuff instead of getting tornadoes earthquakes or hurricanes I’ll take the shoveling any day of the week I really will.
