Patrick Cushing is being remembered by loved ones as a “pure soul.” He was the type of person who loved his girlfriend, family and friends unconditionally.
Calling hours took place now at the Riley Mortuary in Amsterdam.
Cushing was 31.
He worked for the New York State Senate in the I.T. department. He attended St. Mary’s Institute and graduated from Amsterdam High School.
Cushing was also well known for his athletics. He participated in numerous sports and is described by loved ones as “the ultimate teammate” and a true sportsman. He played dodgeball on the US dodgeball team.
They released a statement on their Facebook page this week - describing him as one of the most “agile and dominant players in the world.”
Loved one’s at tonight’s calling hours say he was truly a special person who had a unique ability to connect with people.
A service for Patrick Cushing will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mary’s Church in Amsterdam. A private burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Fort Johnson.
