1,500 new jobs will soon be coming to the Capital Region.
Gov. Cuomo announced Tuesday Regeneron is investing $800 million to expand their Rensselaer County facility over the next seven years.
Right now, the company employs an estimated 5,400 people around the area.
Regeneron is a biotech company — their Rensselaer hub has lab space, manufacturing capacity and a warehouse facility.
New York State offered around $140 million in performance incentives, including tax credits, to encourage this latest investment.
