Three months after two state troopers were seriously injured by a drunk driver in a crash on I-90, the community is coming together to raise money to help with their recovery.

Back in March, Troopers Brent Karow and Shane Swartz were hit by a car as they assisted a tow truck operator.

Both men were badly injured.

Authorities say the man who hit them, 26-year-old Christopher Neumann, was drunk at the time.

He's facing vehicular assault and DWI charges.

Saturday's fundraiser is being held at the Brunswick Girl's Softball Field in Troy.

There will be food and music.

All proceeds go to the two troopers and their families.

The fundraiser starts at 4 p.m.
