One person is in police custody after an overnight shooting in Albany.

Officers were called to a report of shots fired at the Motel 6 on Watervliet Avenue Extension around midnight.

Police say a 41-year-old man was shot in the leg inside a room there, and a person was arrested at the scene.

Police say the victim knew the shooter, and that more arrests are likely.
