POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- People for and against abortion rights stood up for their cause in Poughkeepsie Sunday.
The group 40 days for Life held a rally near Planned Parenthood.
40 Days for Life is an international 40 day anti-abortion campaign which strives to bring an end to abortion through prayer, fasting and public outreach.
There was also a pro-choice counter-demonstration held outside Planned Parenthood.
This season’s 40 Days for Life campaign ends on November 1st. As for Planned Parenthood, representatives said the organization provides a number of resources to women of which only three percent include abortion services.
