An Albany chiropractor is facing sex abuse charges -- he's accused of inappropriately touching his patients.

Dr. Seth Kohl was arrested Monday night. According to police, two female patients reported similar claims of abuse over the past several months.

In August 2016, Kohl is accused of touching intimate parts of a 64-year-old patient at his New Scotland Avenue office. The woman tells police that Kohl had been treating her for a number of years after she suffered a back injury.

She says what started as a routine visit became uncomfortable when the doctor began working on the inside of her thigh. The alleged victim says she asked Kohl "what kind of chiropractic course this was." She says he did not respond, but proceeded to stimulate her genitals and touch her breast.

The victim recounts sitting up and turning away from Kohl, and at that point, he left the room.

Less than six months later, a second patient makes similar claims against Dr. Kohl. The 51-year-old woman recalls being treated by him a handful of times, before Kohl acted inappropriately.

During a February visit, the alleged victim says Kohl began working on her pelvic region, then eventually touched her genitals and breast. The patient tells police she said "I've had enough of this," to which Kohl asked if she was sure. According to the police report, she checked into the emergency room following her appointment with Kohl.

Both women say that at the time of the alleged incidents, Kohl's wife -- who was the office receptionist -- was in the other room.

After a lengthy investigation, Kohl was arrested and arraigned on two counts of misdemeanor sexual abuse. Kohl was released this morning pending his next court appearance, and the state agency responsible for granting his license to practice is aware and is working with police.

Two women come forward, making alarming allegations against an Albany Chiropractor.

Camille DeLongis read the police reports and talked to Albany police. She's in the newsroom with details.

Police say two female patients reported very similar claims of abuse over the past several months.

And the details we read in their reports to law enforcement were nothing short of startling.
