BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Despite what appeared to be a Thanksgiving miracle, a Buffalo radio personality will not receive a lifesaving kidney transplant.

WBEN said traffic and news anchor Allan Harris is back in Buffalo, again waiting for a suitable donor kidney. Harris was summoned during his morning air-shift Wednesday to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Doctors told him a kidney had been located, but after several tests throughout the day, doctors determined the donor kidney was not suitable.

Harris has been on the donor list for five years.

Harris was formerly a reporter at WHAM in Rochester.
