CAIRO, N.Y. -- One man is recovering, after he was seriously burned in a house fire in Cairo Saturday night.
The Cairo Fire Company responded to the home on Bross Street around 4 p.m.
That's where officials said a propane tank exploded in the house.
It took crews 45 minutes to get the fire under control.
They said a man was inside the home at the time of the explosion, but he was helped by a neighbor.
"When they arrived on the scene the other gentleman there with him had removed him from the building," said Cairo Assistant Fire Chief Barry Femel.
Officials said the man was flown to Westchester Medical Center Burn Center.
