It is now official; outgoing Schenectady Police Chief Brian Kilcullen will serve as Rutland Vermont's next top cop.
The Rutland City Board of Alderman has unanimously approved his five year offer to become the city's police chief.
Kilcullen has been with the Schenectady Police Department since 1994, and was appointed chief in 2013.
He's expected to begin in Rutland on November 2.
