SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Joel Elston of Scotia and Marilyn Eaton of Watervliet are the region's newest millionnaires after winning prizes in the New York Lottery's Cash X scratch-off game.
Elston won $5 million. He manages Nott Street Auto in Schenectady, and said he knew right away he was a winner. Elston says he wants to pay off his mortgage and put some money away for his children’s college fund.
Eaton won $1 million. She also plans to pay off her mortgage, and buy herself a black Mercedes.
