About two dozen LGBTQ community leaders met with Mayor Adams on Thursday at City Hall. They wanted him to rescind his appointment of three administration officials with histories of anti-gay remarks, including Fernando Cabrera, who will serve as a faith adviser. Attendees said the mayor gave no indication he would reverse course, but Adams did say in a statement that the discussion was quote, "truly productive."

Transgender Advocate Elisa Crespo joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” on Friday to discuss the controversial appointments. She’s also the executive director of the New Pride Agenda, a statewide LGBTQ+ advocacy organization.
