New York state's financial position appears to be improving but the governor's office is still projecting a deficit next year. The New York state Division of Budget is now projecting a roughly $4 billion deficit next year, down from $9 billion in its previous report. Also, lawmakers are reviewing legislation that would allow a new form of online gambling in New York -- mobile casino gaming, otherwise known as i-gaming. It's something they're starting to consider as early state budget preparations get underway.
