A state lawmaker wants harsher penalties for people who impersonate elections officials in New York. The state Board of Elections said there were 13 reported cases where voters were approached about their registration allegedly by people impersonating elections officials. Also, Oct. 1 will usher in some unwelcome news for people with federal student debt. After more than three years, tens of millions of Americans will be required to make payments on their federal student loans next month.
