An Albany man was arrested for allegedly creating and selling large amounts of counterfeit money.

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said investigators found 32 counterfeit bills and over $5,000 in non-counterfeit money at the home of 22-year-old Ali Amadu Haruna.

Apple said several tools used to make counterfeit money, as well as two skimming devices, were also found.

Haruna faces eight counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

He's being held in the Albany County Correctional Facility on $20,000 bail.
