A man is facing charges after driving what police say was a stolen dirt bike through a Schenectady Price Chopper.
The video is catching a lot of attention online. Traitin Knight was released from jail on Tuesday afternoon after facing charges of possession of stolen property and reckless endangerment. Police say he strapped a GoPro camera to himself and rode a bike through the Eastern Boulevard Price Chopper on Sept. 1.
Schenectady police believe the Kawasaki dirt bike Knight was driving that night was stolen, but he claims he purchased it on Craigslist and has receipts to fight the charge.
Knight told Spectrum News that it was never his intention to put anyone in danger.
"It was a challenge that I did. It was just to make people laugh," he said. "It wasn't intended to hurt anybody. Nobody got hurt or anything like that, so it was to make people laugh. It was just for fun, that's all it was."
