In Albany County, the number of new COVID-19 cases hits triple digits for a second straight day.
This has County Executive Dan McCoy concerned that the spread of the virus is not slowing down any time soon.
The county is reporting 102 new cases, bringing the county's daily average up to about 80.
The percent positivity rate is now up to 4.6%.
Hospitalizations also rose for a second consecutive day, with 36 residents now receiving treatment at area hospitals.
McCoy added that the best way for residents to help stop the spread is by getting vaccinated if they haven't already, and by wearing a mask indoors and at large outdoor gatherings.
