There will soon be three vacancies on New York’s highest court. 

Judge Paul Feinman stepped down a month ago due to illness and then died a week later; and Judges Leslie Stein and Eugene Fahey are set to retire in June and December, respectively.

The commission tasked with coming up with possible nominees still needs to submit names for Feinman and Fahey, but it has already done so for the upcoming Stein vacancy.

The next step is for Governor Cuomo to choose from the commission’s list.
