The state District Attorneys Association is suing Governor Cuomo and the legislature over the newly created Prosecutorial Conduct Commission, an independent oversight panel that aims to hold prosecutors accountable should they overstep the powers of their elected office. The DA's say the commission unfairly blocks prosecutors from operating independently and ultimately, doing their job. Signed into law this past August, the commission is slated to materialize in January 2019. Albany County DA David Soares and attorney Jacob Gardener of Walden Macht & Haran explain.
