New handheld blasters will be equipped on each vehicle to help riders improve their aim and score more points, officials said. The blasters will come in two different colors per star cruiser and will have a laser that stays permanently on to assist with defeating the evil Emperor Zurg and zapping his minions.

Officials also said the interactive targets in the ride will be improved with technology that will allow them to react and light up when hit.
