The Erie Mansion in Clyde, New York offers a trip back to the year 1858, the year it was built. Today, the mansion stands, open to the public at 39 West Genesee Street as a four luxury suite B&B in Wayne County.

Local real estate investor Mark Wright purchased the mansion in April 2008 and has been working to refurbish the mansion ever since. Every room is different, so before you stay, you may want to take advantage of one of the paid tours. Room rates from $450 to $1,500 per night, depending on the room.

Erie Mansion also has a history of being eerie, as in ghosts! Spend a few minutes with Mark, the innkeeper, and you'll hear a tale or two. The property is listed in the Department of the Interior's National Register of Historic Places.
