In Hoosick Falls, the Village Board of Trustees unanimously passed a third settlement agreement on Wednesday, with Saint Gobain and Honeywell.
The $255,000 agreement covers past and anticipated costs connected to the contamination, as well as funding for the operation, and maintenance of the GAC filtration system.
Like both of the previous settlement agreements, this deal will maintain the village's legal rights moving forward.
"Before we can sort of talk about a global settlement for everything, we have to fully understand everything, and there's still many pieces in motion."
Mayor Allen says a DEC Alternate Water Supply study is set to come out next month.
