The Skyway has been reopened after a closure due to winter weather gripping the area the morning after Christmas, the Buffalo Police Department announced.
Route five was closed in both directions from Church Street to Tifft Street, according to the Buffalo Police Department.
Police say poor visibility and the weather were deciding factors.
A lake-effect snow warning is in effect for northern Erie, Wyoming, and Genesee Counties through 7 p.m. tonight and 5 a.m. Sunday for southern Erie, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus Counties.
