Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer and that leads many people to look for ways to squeeze in a little more of that summer fun.

Niagara Falls is the perfect place for families to find a lot of things to do in one area, especially this weekend. The Street Festival will return to Old Falls Street with food trucks, live music and much more.

Niagara Falls is a worldwide draw, but apart from the falls themselves, there is plenty to keep people coming back. Niagara Falls State Park was recently named the top picnic and barbecue spot for New Yorkers, according to Family Destinations Guide. And even if you’ve seen it all before, it’s worth a return visit.

"I work in the falls, I'm here all the time and it doesn't get old to me," said Sara Harvey, director of communications for Destination Niagara. "This state park is just a beautiful place. They've invested over $140 million in Niagara Falls State Park over the last 10 years. There have been a lot of changes. So people may not realize that. You know there's so many new things to do all the time."

The Street Festival is a free event.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Friday — 5-10 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday — 12-10 p.m.
  • Monday — 12-6 p.m.
