Former Bills GM Russ Brandon to serve as new United Football League's president, CEO

A new era of football is set to take the field in 2024.

The XFL and USFL have merged together to create the United Football League.

A familiar face for Buffalo Bills fans is set to lead the league.

Former Bills General Manager Russ Brandon will be the league's president and CEO.

Former Dallas Cowboys fullback Daryl Johnston, a native of Youngstown, N.Y., will be the head of the league's football operations.

Today marks the official announcement regarding the launch of the United Football League (the “UFL”), the premier spring football league that will result from the merger of the XFL and USFL.

Details about teams that will be part of the league and other information will be released at a later date.

The new UFL kicks off its inaugural season on Saturday, March 30.
