The Bills went tight end Dalton Kincaid with their first-round pick Thursday night.
That leaves a bunch of other positions we have widely discussed leading up to the NFL Draft that Brandon Beane could address during night two.
Here are some names to put on your radar as second or third round possibilities, with the Bills currently slated to pick 59th and 91st.
Sanders is someone I thought could be in the mix to be picked at 27, however part of the pre-draft conversation with him has been that might be too high. Not sure if the Bills can wait until 59 if interested. Sanders has only one year experience at MLB, but was an unanimous All-American in that one with the Razorbacks. Could also bring a versatile skill set that would allow new defensive playcaller Sean McDermott to unleash him as a pass-rusher as well.
Torrence has been in the conversation as the best guard in this draft class. He’s a bit of a throwback, with power more of his bread and butter rather than athleticism, standing 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds. Showed this past season that a step up in competition was no trouble, turning his lone season at Florida into consensus All-American honors.
- Wisconsin C Joe Tippmann
- Minnesota C John Michael Schmitz
- Michigan C Olusegun Oluwati
- LSU EDGE BJ Ojulari
I know edge rusher has been addressed through the draft a lot recently, but the position still isn’t set, especially with Von Miller coming off a torn ACL and likely not ready for the start of the regular season. Ojulari brings a different style than what we’ve seen in those other draft picks – speed and bend off the edge at 6-2 and 248 pounds.
Drafting Kincaid might push the Bills out of adding a slot receiver, but Downs is someone with speed and burst that definitely would satisfy the position in the traditional form. Has punt return abilities as well.
Hyatt is a burner who can rip off big plays down the field. The concern is weighing in at 176 pounds while standing 6 feet tall.
The NFL Draft resumes Friday evening at 7 p.m.
