Travis Etienne's college resume speaks for itself.
- 6,107 total yards (ACC record, 15th NCAA history)
- 4,952 rushing yards (ACC record)
- 7.2 yards per carry (ACC record, 11th NCAA history)
- 70 rushing touchdowns (ACC record, 7th NCAA history)
- 78 total TDs (ACC record, 4th NCAA history)
Add all that up and Etienne believes he's shown more than enough to overcome the recent feeling that running back's shouldn't be picked in the 1st round of the NFL Draft.
"I'm one of the best skilled guys in the draft," Etienne said after his Pro Day. "I'm able to do it all. I add that component to teams to next tier. I feel like me being in the game, I just possess a lot of things that are god-given that most guys don't possess. I just feel like it's in me. Just you see the film. I'm able to be out there three downs. Been able to play special teams. Just being able to impact the team each and every down, I feel that's what makes me different."
Etienne not only can run the ball, but he also brings elements in other facets of the game. He averaged 22.1 yards per kick return over four seasons at Clemson.
Even more so, Etienne showed an improved ability catching the ball, showcased by following up 2nd team All-American honors as an RB in 2018 and 2019 with 1st team All-American honors as an All-Purpose player this past season.
"Coming here in high school in a Wing-T, I probably had 16 targets my whole career in high school," Etienne said. "So coming here was really different. It just really changed my whole game."
Other numbers that push Etienne into the 1st round conversation include 4.41 40 at his Pro Day, solidifying the breakaway speed showcased on film.
Etienne is projected as a mid-1st to early 2nd round selection.
