BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres have made their first round of training camp roster cuts.
Headlining the crop heading to Buffalo's AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans, are forwards Jiri Kulich and Isak Rosén.
Kulich was selected with the 28th pick back in July. He had 14 points in 49 games last season with Karlovy Vary HC playing against men in the Czech Republic League.
Rosén, taken with the 14th pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, had four points in 28 games last year with Leksands IF of the SHL.
Both former first-rounders shined in the 2022 Prospects Challenge, held in Buffalo roughly two weeks ago.

The Sabres also sent forward Matthew Savoie back to the WHL's Winnipeg Ice. Savoie was the 9th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Buffalo has until Monday, Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. to trim its final roster down to 23 players.
