A 29-year-old female pedestrian is in critical condition after a crash involving a Buffalo police vehicle.
Four others including a Buffalo police officer were also hurt. Authorities say their injuries are non-life threatening.
It happened Wednesday at Main Street and Benwood Avenue.
Spectrum News has learned the officer is a three-year veteran of the department.
Authorities say the officer was responding to a knife call.
The Erie County district attorney and state attorney general's office have been contacted, which police leaders say is protocol.
