A 16-year-old Frontier student is facing charges for a threat that put two schools into lockdown Monday.

The student is accused of hacking into other students' email accounts to send threats to the Frontier High School Administration.

The threats led to the lockdown at Frontier High School and Big Tree Elementary.

School leaders say the threatening emails continued after student accounts were reset.

Hamburg Police say the threats were never deemed to be credible, and students and staff were never in danger.

Police say they were able to trace the IP address which led them to the student.

The student is facing several charges, including seven counts of aggravated harassment and making a terrorist threat.

The superintendent and Hamburg Police held a press conference Tuesday afternoon with an update, but Spectrum News wasn't notified.
