Several firearms, homemade explosives and drugs were allegedly discovered inside the home of a Buffalo Public Schools teacher.
The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday 53-year-old Michael Masecchia was arrested. He's listed on the BPS website as a teacher at the International Preparatory School on 14th Street.
FBI and Homeland Security agents teamed with Niagara and Erie County sheriff's deputies for a raid at his home on Main Street in Williamsville last week. That's where prosecutors say they found seven of these explosives, eight guns, marijuana and possibly cocaine.
They also say authorities found nearly $28,000 in cash.
Investigators now believe Masecchia has helped grow and sell marijuana for at least 20 years.
He's facing multiple federal charges and could face a lifetime prison sentence.
