Five children and a woman were found by New York State Police who were on the lookout for a minivan following a reported kidnapping over the weekend in Cleveland.

According to state police, troopers began monitoring for a white minivan around 6:50 p.m. Sunday, and then found it heading east on Interstate 90 near the Cleveland Drive exit.

William Angel, 27, was taken into custody then charged with several counts of both kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child, and also felony assault. He awaits extradition back to Ohio.

A relative traveled from Ohio to pick up the children and their mother, who underwent a medical assessment due to injuries sustained in the initial incident.
