BUFFALO, N.Y. – Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown has submitted his capital budget proposal to the common council.

The mayor says his $32.9 million spending plan recognizes the financial strains facing the city while keeping up critical investments in infrastructure and physical improvements to city-owned assets and neighborhood resources.

Brown says he hopes those efforts will lead to fast social and economic growth.

The capital budget proposal includes $17.8 million of authorized bonds that went unsold in 2020 because of the pandemic.

It also includes $15.1 million in new authorized bonds that will be sold for capital projects planned to start next year.
