If you need help getting your taxes done this year, you're in luck: Until 5 p.m. Wednesday, New York State Department of Taxation and Finance officials will be at SUNY Niagara, inside the Lewis Library, to help people file their returns.
This free service is for those who made less than $84,000 last year.
Participants will need their 2024 tax documents, a copy of their 2023 tax return (if available), a valid email address and basic computer skills.
If you can't make it Wednesday, there will be similiar events in Niagara County every Wednesday through April 9.
If you are interested in attending, you can register and view a schedule of other available dates here.
