The Buffalo Bills are launching a public art program at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, the team announced Wednesday.
The Buffalo Bills Public Art Program will "reflect the city's diverse demographics, team and fan engagement, and welcome travelers of all backgrounds to experience artwork in an inclusive environment," the team says. The program is seeking sculptural ceiling art, murals, and wall-based artworks of various sizes to be curated on all stadium levels.
"For more than 50 years, the Buffalo Bills have contributed greatly to Western New York through a variety of impactful initiatives," said Penny Semaia, Bills' vice president of stadium relations. "The Public Art Program at New Highmark Stadium will allow artists throughout Western New York to showcase their talents to visitors throughout the country."
Calls for Artists will be issued over the next two months and will be posted here.
