From now through Monday, Jan. 13, the dome atop Buffalo City Hall will be lit blue from dusk to dawn to celebrate the start of the Buffalo Bills playoff run.

“We are so proud of our Buffalo Bills and want to send a strong message of support to the world that we are behind our hometown team and ready for the playoffs to begin in Western New York,” said Acting Buffalo Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon. “I invite members of the Buffalo Landmark Illumination Team to join us in this special Blue for the Bills Weekend, as well as all other historic landmarks and structures throughout Buffalo and Western New York.”

Banners celebrating the AFC East Champions are also up atop the steps of City Hall.

“We’re looking forward to a great Wild Card Playoff weekend in the City of Buffalo and Western New York, and I am asking Bills fans to continue to show their hometown pride by cheering loudly for our team but celebrating safely,” Scanlon added.

The Bills will host the Denver Broncos Sunday at 1 p.m. at Highmark Stadium in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
