Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin has been named the NHL's Second Star for the week ending Dec. 29.
The Sabres captain had seven points in three games, tied for the most among NHL skaters that week.
His return to the lineup also marked the end of a 13-game winless streak and beginning of a three-game winning streak.
The Sabres are 0-6-2 this season when Dahlin is out of the lineup.
Dahlin has 26 points in 29 games this season.
