For the third straight year, Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins has been named as the team's Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee.
The award — established by the NFL in 1970 and named after Payton, the late Chicago Bears legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer, in 1999 — recognizes one player for excellence both on and off the field.
Each team submits one nominee for the honor. Each nominee will receive up to $55,000 and the award winner will receive up to a $265,000 donation to their charity of choice.
Dawkins' founded the Dion’s Dreamers Foundation with the goal of providing mentorship and support to young men and women in underserved communities, as well as those in a place of mental, financial or physical hardship. Dion’s Dreamers also aims to advocate for vulnerable populations by increasing awareness of the environmental issues that directly affect their communities.
All 32 nominees will be recognized during the week leading up to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans at the 2025 NFL Honors on Thursday, Feb. 6.
