In an effort to connect residents with local resources and services, the Niagara County Department of Health is launching the Niagara County Resource Guide.
Officials say residents will be able to quickly find nearby services and contact information, including pharmacy locations, medication disposal sites, facilities accepting SNAP and WIC food benefits and more.
“Public health is about coming together as a community," Niagara County Public Health Director Daniel J. Stapleton said in a statement released last Thursday. “Understanding the factors that impact our health is just the beginning. When we join forces, share programs, and pool resources, we can drive positive change for the residents of Niagara County.”
Officials touted the guide's interactive map display that highlights the locations of service providers and facilities across Niagara County. Also included are insights into factors affecting population health.
The county health department is accepting suggestions or edits to the guide, which can be emailed to tracy.fricanochalmers@niagaracounty.com.
