The Josh Allen Gatorade banner that has been hanging on the Statler Building in Buffalo is being taken down.

City officials tell Spectrum News 1 that the removal is not their doing.

A city spokesperson says the contract for the billboard was between the owner of the Statler building, Douglas Development, and Gatorade.

They also say the deal was for a 30 days and it was since expired.

They also said the building owner finalized all of the necessary permits with the city and everything was approved for it to be up.
