The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed center Peyton Krebs to a new two-year deal worth an average annual value of $1.45 million, the team announced Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Krebs had four goals and 13 assists in 2023-24. He was the Sabres’ last remaining restricted free agent. He is coming off the final year of his three-year entry-level contract he signed in November 2019.

Krebs was drafted 17th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut in 2021. He was traded to the Sabres as part of the deal that sent Jack Eichel to Las Vegas. Krebs has 20 goals and 66 points in 215 career games split between the Golden Knights and Sabres.

The Sabres will hold their first on-ice session of training camp Wednesday.
