The National Weather Service has confirmed two tornadoes touched down in Western New York on Monday.   

The confirmed tornadoes included one in Grand Island, with maximum winds at 85 mph, a width of 75 yards and a track length of 1.2 miles.

The other tornado touched down in Pembroke, with max winds at 75 mph, a width of 50 yards and a track length of .2 miles.

Officials say damage consisted of downed and damaged trees that were already rotting.

A tornado warning was issued for both Genesee and Wyoming counties before it hit. 

The total number of tornadoes in New York state is now up to 31 for the year.
